Come to the Love, Acceptance & Forgiveness of God
through Faith in Jesus Christ!

Welcome to our faith-based ministry ... our faith is in Jesus Christ!
We believe - because we have seen - people totally freed from drugs, alcohol and
other addictions by faith in God's love, acceptance and forgiveness in Jesus.

“The Most Excellent Way” Support/Fellowship Meetings are held weekly,
with God’s Word as our sole authority, Jesus Christ as our only power,
and His Holy Spirit as our guide.

We look forward to serving you at Calvary Chapel Lake Villa
every Friday evening at 7:00 pm.

WE UNDERSTAND!

"For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures,
living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration  [new birth] and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.  This is a faithful saying, and these things   I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works.
These things are good and profitable
to men."

Titus 3:3-8 NKJV

LOVE, ACCEPTANCE & FORGIVENESS

The quality of love we desire to share is God’s agape—the ability to accept and forgive one another just as God, the Father, accepts and forgives us because of our faith in Jesus, His Son.

“The Most Excellent Way” is to:

  • Be reconciled to God through Jesus.
  • Grow in faith and knowledge of Christ.
  • Gain a better understanding of the sin nature that leads to addiction and obsessive, self-centered behavior.
  • Learn and apply Biblical principles for living joy-filled, productive lives.
  • Provide support to those desiring freedom from drug and alcohol dependency, and other self-gratifying behavior.
  • Pray for one another.
  • Love one another.

Jesus said:  “A new command I give you:  Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
All men will know that you are My disciples if you love one another.”
John 13:34-35 NIV

We accept one another just as we are — committed Christian or backslider, sober or stoned, reverent or obnoxious, clean or dirty.  Anyone desiring freedom from addiction and compulsive behavior is welcomed into “The Most Excellent Way” by the grace of God.

"We love because He first loved us.”  I John 4:19 NIV

SUPPORT / FELLOWSHIP MEETINGS

“The Most Excellent Way” Support/Fellowship Meetings are held weekly, with God’s Word as our sole authority, Jesus Christ as our only power, and His Holy Spirit as our only guide.

Many participants have attended A.A. and Al-Anon meetings, and come to “The Most Excellent Way” seeking an environment in which to freely express their faith in Jesus.  Others are backslidden Christians, timid and shame-faced, who God draws back.  Unbelievers come and find genuine love, peer support, Christ and eternal hope and salvation.

FAMILY & FRIENDS SUPPORT/FELLOWSHIP MEETINGS help spouses, parents and “adult children” to stop trying to control, fix and blame their dependent loved ones for their own misery.  They receive loving support and learn how others are becoming GOD-dependent:  the process of taking personal responsibility for their thoughts, attitudes and actions in order to change their turbulent lifestyles.

Learn more about "Salvation House" February 19, 2009

Greetings Brothers and Sisters:

Last night we were invited to come and have dinner and fellowship at “Mt. Zion House” Lake Geneva by Pastor John Lagalbo (formerly of CC Ft. Lauderdale), and experience an evening with 24 men who’s life’s have been changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Viewing the “deliverance / restoration” model of their blessed program.

Little did I know that we were to be guests of a meeting of Mt. Zion Christian Church to explore the furtherance of God’s Will concerning “Salvation House”. Senior Pastor Dave of Mt. Zion Church has offered to come along side our group of “Stephen’s” and offered to come under the teaching and training of Pastor John from Mt. Zion House. Possibilities of “Salvation House” for women in Illinois interfacing with a Mt. Zion women’s home in Wisconsin were discussed.

We have the nucleus of what strongly appears to be the Lord’s orchestrating, and are praying for church(s) to have a desire to work with us:

#1 Need local church(s) that are in line with our doctrinal beliefs (all based on God’s Word) to come along side for a place for the women to fellowship at, and to partnership and provide prayer and women that would like to teach and mentor.

#2 Need church(s) that will help to provide guidance and cover, as a hen covers her chicks, to the nucleus.

#3 Need the Lord to provide a house for the ladies to reside in, and the support until it becomes self-supporting (ladies pay $125-150 per week for room and board after the first month).

We adjured with these prayer requests:

#1 We ask every member of the body of Christ to commit this to prayer, and to request every Thursday as a day of fasting and prayer for Salvation House for the next month.

#2 Those that are willing and available to go up to Lake Geneva’s Mt. Zion House every Thursday at 5:30 for dinner and 6:30 for an interactive Bible teaching with the men, to learn more how to disciple people with addictions.

Ladies meet at Mt. Zion Church every Wednesday 5:30-7:00pm as a group to mentor women with “life controlling problems”

#3 On Thursday March 26th to meet at Mt. Zion House at 5:30 for dinner and discuss establishment of Salvation House.

Brothers and sisters thank you for your time and prayers. Please, Please put this out for prayer to your fellowship. And as the Lord leads, please respond.

Serving in His Name,

God Bless
